57,12 €
Complete antiparasitic for dogs weighing 40-60 kg. Eliminates fleas, ticks, worms and prevents heartworm.
Large dogs that run freely in the countryside are the ones that pick up the most parasites. Simparica Trio 40-60 kg is a chewable oral antiparasitic from Zoetis for dogs weighing 40 to 60 kg that offers 30 days of protection against internal and external parasites with each tablet: fleas, ticks, roundworms, heartworm, and lungworm. The box contains three tablets, providing a three-month supply.
For what do you use it
Its three active ingredients are sarolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel. Together, they eliminate fleas (Ctenocephalides felis and canis), ticks of the genera Dermacentor, Ixodes, and Rhipicephalus, and gastrointestinal nematodes such as Toxocara, Ancylostoma, Toxascaris, and Uncinaria, and prevent heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis) and angiostrongyliasis (Angiostrongylus vasorum). The manufacturer recommends it for continuous monthly use in endemic areas and for active dogs at risk of infestation. The liver flavor makes it easy to administer, even to dogs that refuse tablets.
How it is presented
- Box of 3 chewable tablets (three months of treatment); there are presentations for other weight ranges.
- Per tablet: sarolaner 72 mg, moxidectin 1,44 mg and pyrantel (as embonate) 300 mg.
- For dogs weighing 40 to 60 kg, from 8 weeks old and over 1,25 kg. Not for use on cats.
How it is administered
For oral administration, one whole tablet every 30 days, with or without food. Do not break or crush. Treatment is continuous and should always be under the supervision of a veterinarian, who will assess for possible interactions if the dog is taking other medications.
FAQ
Which parasites does Simparica Trio 40-60 kg eliminate and which do they prevent?
Eliminates fleas, ticks and intestinal worms; prevents heartworm and lungworm.
How long does the protection of each tablet last?
30 days. That's why the box of three tablets is equivalent to a full three-month period.
Can I split the tablet for a smaller dog?
No. It must be administered whole; for other weights there are specific presentations that the veterinarian will indicate to you.
What should I do if the dog vomits after taking it?
If this occurs within the first two hours, consult your veterinarian as a new dose may be necessary.
What adverse effects have been described and how should I store it?
Vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, loss of appetite, or tremors are mild and temporary in most cases. Store in its original packaging, below 30°C and away from moisture.
Before starting, your veterinarian will confirm your dog's weight and decide on the regimen based on the area you live in and your dog's exposure to parasites.
